●DVD 재생 소프트웨어에는 업데이트 패치를 맞힌다

　이제(벌써)1 개 주의하고 싶은 것이,DVD 재생 소프트웨어다.몇 번인가 이 연재로 지적하고 있도록(듯이),Windows Aero 환경에서는 오버레이 비디오 재생은 서포트하고 있지 않다.낡다DVD 재생 소프트웨어안에는,DVD 의 재생으로 오버레이 재생을 행하는 경우가 있어, 이것을 이용하고 있는 경우에는,Windows Aero 의 데스크탑 콤포지션을 일시적으로 정? 해,Windows Vista 베이직으로 변경할 필요가 있다.

　덧붙여 이러한 설정은 어플리케이션 마다 가능하고, 역시 대상 소프트웨어의 바이너리나 쇼트 컷의 프롭퍼티로부터 호환성의 탭을 선택해“데스크탑 콤포지션을 무효로 한다”의 체크를 넣어 두면, 자동으로Windows Vista 베이직의 유저 인터페이스로 변경되어 오버레이 표시가 가능하게 된다.

　차세대DVD 의 재생 환경에 관해서는 관련 기사 하지만 자세하기 때문에, 여기에서는 생략하지만, 일반적인MPEG-2 재생 환경에 관해서는 접해 두고 싶다.Windows Vista Ultimate (와)과Windows Vista Home Premium (은)는, 표준으로 마이크로소프트의MPEG-2 디코더가 탑재되고 있다.이 때문에,Windows Media Center (이)나Windows Media Player (을)를 이용해DVD (이)나MPEG-2 비디오의 재생이 표준으로 가능하게 되어 있다(Business (이)나Home Basic 에 관해서는 미확인) .

　단지, 이 마이크로소프트의MPEG-2 디코더는, 정말로 필요 최소한의 기능 밖에 없고, 돌비 디지털이나DTS 의 엔코더 기능 등은 가지고 있지 않은 것 외, 하드웨어 부하도 높고, 솔직히 말해 별로 추천해는 아니다.역시, 가능하면 써드파티의DVD 재생 소프트웨어를 도입해 두는 것을 추천하고 싶다.벌써CyberLink 도,InterVideo 도, 최신의DVD 재생 소프트웨어를 도입하는 것으로 전용의CODEC 하지만Windows 에 인스톨 되어 그러한 기능을Windows Media Center (이)나Windows Media Player (으)로부터 이용할 수도 있다.

　덧붙여 어느CODEC (을)를Windows 표준으로 이용할까는, 유저측에서는 선택하지 못하고, 가장 최근 인스톨 했다CODEC 하지만 이용되게 되지만,Windows XP 용으로 제공되고 있던“Windows XP Video Decoder Checkup Utility ”(을)를 이용하는 것으로, 선택할 수 있게 된다.다만,CODEC (을)를 변경하려면 , 스타트 메뉴로부터 아이콘을 오른쪽 클릭해“관리자로서 실행”을 선택해 실행하면 좋다.

　써드파티의DVD 재생 소프트웨어의 대응 상황이지만, 이하와 같이 되어 있다.

　InterVideo 의 「WinDVD 8 Gold 」(은)는Vista 에 대응이 끝난 상태로, 「WinDVD 8 Platinum 」에 관해서는 향후 업데이트 패치를 공개하는 것으로 대응 예정이라고 한다.무엇보다,WinDVD 8 Platinum (와)과WinDVD 8 Gold 의 큰 차이는 차세대DVD 에의 대응이므로,MPEG-2 (이)나DVD 의 기능만을 사용한다면, 현재WinDVD 8 Platinum 도Windows Vista 그리고 이용 되어 있다( 서포트 대상외이지만) .

　CyberLink 그럼PowerDVD Ultra 하지만 벌써 대응이 끝난 상태인 것 외에PowerDVD 7 시리즈에 관해서도,CyberLink 의 글로벌 사이트의 다운로드 페이지 그리고 패치의 제공이 행해지고 있다.이것을 적용하는 것으로,PowerDVD 7 Deluxe 등도Windows Vista 에 대응한다.덧붙여 사이트의 설명은 영어이지만, 업데이트 패치는 유니버설 바이너리가 되어 있어, 제대로 일본어로 업데이트 할 수 있었다

●바이러스 대책 소프트웨어의 갱신은 반드시 필요하게

　이제(벌써)1 개 잊어서는 안되는 것이, 시큐러티 관련의 소프트웨어의 갱신이다.다른 소프트는 사용할 수 없는 것뿐이니까 아직 좋지만, 과연 시큐러티 관련의 소프트웨어는, 도입하지 않으면 서투름 하면 신문 소식이 될지 모르는 만큼, 역시 피하고는 통과할 수 없을 것이다.

　잊으면 좋지 않은 것은,Windows Vista 그럼,OS 커넬 그 자체가 갱신되고 있기 때문에,Windows XP 용무의 시큐러티 소프트웨어는 그대로는 이용할 수 없는, 이라고 하는 것이다.

　Windows Vista 그럼 기본적으로는 바이러스 대책의 소프트웨어 이외의 시큐러티 툴은,Windows 파이어 월(fire wall)나, 스파이 웨어 대책의Windows Defender 등이 표준으로 도입되고 있다.그것들이 위협에 대해서 충분할지 어떨지에 관해서는 의견이 나뉘는 곳(중)이지만, 필요 최저한의 기능이 실장되고 있는 것은 틀림없다.그러나, 바이러스 대책의 소프트웨어에 관해서는 표준에서는 준비되어 있지 않기 때문에, 반드시 어떠한 대책을 도입할 필요가 있다.

　이것에 관해서도 각사 모두 최신 버젼으로의 대응이 되고 있어 낡은 버젼의 유저에 관해서는 최신판으로 갈아 탈 필요가 있다( 일부 구버젼에서도 움직이는 경우가 있는, 각사의Web 사이트등을 참조) .이하는, 대표적인 바이러스 대책 소프트웨어의 최신판에의 링크이다.

　덧붙여서, 필자와 같이 복수대의PC (을)를 소유하고 있는 경우, 바이러스 대책 소프트웨어의 코스트도 그 나름대로 든다.전술의 선택사항 가운데,avast! Anti Virus Home Edition (은)는 등록만으로 무료로 이용할 수 있고, 트랜드 마이크로의 바이러스 버스터2007 트랜드 플렉스 시큐러티나 마이크로소프트의Windows Live OneCare 등은1 라이센스로3 받침대까지 이용할 수 있다.복수대 있는 유저이면, 그러한 점도 고려해 선택하면 좋을 것이다.

　덧붙여Windows Vista (와)과Windows XP 그럼 커넬등이 다르기 위해,XP 용무의 바이러스 대책 소프트는 그대로는 이용할 수 없기는 커녕, 원래 인스톨 할 수 없다.우에에 둔 바이러스 대책 소프트에서도,XP 용무의 것은 그대로는 이용할 수 없기 때문에, 인스톨시에Vista 용무의 바이너리가 필요하게 된다.

　예를 들어, 필자는 일용의 머신에 시만텍의Norton AntiVirus 2007 (을)를 사용하고 있지만, 패키지에 부속되어 있던 디스크는XP 판이었기 때문에, 그대로는Windows Vista 에 인스톨 할 수 없었다.거기서, 시만텍의Web 사이트 의 지시에 따라,Windows Vista 용무의 바이너리를 입수해, 그것을 이용하고 인스톨을 행했다.

트랜드 마이크로 바이러스 버스터2007 트랜드 플렉스 시큐러티	시만텍 Norton AntiVirus 2007 .간이 파이어 월(fire wall) 기능도 들어가 있으므로,Windows 파이어 월(fire wall)를 이용하고 싶은 경우에는 인터넷 웜방? 기능을OFF (으)로 한다

●소프트웨어가 움직이지 않는 경우에는XP 호환 모드로 설정

 

　여담이 지난 것 같다, 주제로 돌아오자.필자가Windows Vista 에의 이행 코스트로 의외로 걸린데라고 생각한 이제(벌써)1 개의 점은, 어플리케이션 소프트 웨어의 버전 업 코스트다.모처럼Windows Vista (으)로 했으니까, 역시Office 2007 으로 하고 싶어-라고 생각하면 그 코스트도 든다(2007 Office System 그것은 매우 매력적이다.이것에 관해서는 별도 말하고 싶다) .

 

　또, 의외로Windows Vista 잘 작동하지 않는다고 하는 소프트웨어는 적지 않다.예를 들어, 필자는 사진의 관리 소프트로서ACD system 의 「ACDsee 」라고 하는 소프트웨어를 이용하고 있다.현재의 일본어판의 최신 버젼은 버젼8 그리고, 일본내에서는 아이포가 대리점이 되어 판매하고 있다.이ACDsee 버젼8 (은)는, 그대로는Windows Vista 그럼 기동조차 해 주지 않는다.미국의ACD system 그럼 버젼9 그렇다고 하고 말이야들에게 진행된 버젼으로,Windows Vista 에의 대응을 예정하고 있다고 밝히고 있지만, 일본어의 사이트 그럼,Windows Vista 에의 대응 상황조차 분명하지 않은 현상이다.어쩔 수 없기 때문에, 현재는Google (으)로부터 다운로드할 수 있는 「Picasa 」(을)를 이용하고 있다.Picasa (은)는 무료로 이용할 수 있는 소프트웨어인데 잘 되어 있지만, 익숙해지고 있다고 하는 의미에서는ACDsee (을)를 사용하고 싶다고 하는 것이 정직한 곳이다.

　또, 세세한 일이지만,Windows Vista 그럼 종래의Windows Help 하지만 이용할 수 없다.종래 형식의Windows Help (을)를 실행하려고 하면, 실행할 수 없다고 하는 에러가 나와 기동할 수 없는 것이다.이것은 시큐러티 요건으로부터의 사양인 것 같고, 현재 해결책은 없다.일단, 마이크로소프트의Web 사이트에 의하면, 곧Windows Vista 용무의Windows Help 실행 파일(WinHelp.exe) 하지만 배포될 예정인 것이라는 것이므로, 아무래도 종래의Windows Help 하지만 필요한 유저는 그것을 기다릴 필요가 있다.

Windows Vista 에 있어서의 어플리케이션의 호환성의 설정

　이와 같이,Windows Vista 그럼 움직이지 않는다고 하는 소프트는 많이 있다.많은 경우는, 프롭퍼티의 호환성의 탭으로“호환 모드로 이 프로그램을 실행한다”에 체크를 넣어Windows XP(Service Pack2 호환) (으)로 설정하는 것으로 움직이지만, 그런데도ACDsee (와)과 같이 움직이지 않는 경우도 있다.그 경우에는,Windows Vista 에 대응한 최신 버젼에 갱신할 필요가 있어, 그 코스트도 좋은 것이 된다.

　만약PC (을)를 업무로 이용하고 있고, 그것이 움직이지 않으면 업무에 지장있는 소프트가 있다면,Windows Vista 의 업그레이드전에 그 소프트의 호환성을 확인해 두는 것이 좋을 것이다.아래와 같이에, 마이크로소프트의 어플리케이션 호환성에 관한 페이지로의 링크를 나타내 두었으므로, 참고로 하면 좋겠다.

하시면 바탕화면에 제어판 나올겁니다.

이번 비스타에서는 내장으로 파티션 조정기능을 제공한답니다. XP 같으면 애초에 파티션을 잡거나, 파티션 매직과 같은 프로그램을 사용해야 했었는데, 비스타는 그냥 된답니다. 물론 파티션 조작 기술이 안정화 되어서, OS에 bulit-in으로 탑재한다는 것이 그렇게 어려운 일은 아니라고는 하지만, 매직같은 소프트웨어를 별도 설치 안해도되는 것만으로도 번거로움을 줄일수 있겠죠...

일단 diskmgmt.msc 디스크 관리를 실행하면 잡혀있는 파티션들이 나옵니다. 해당 파티션을 오른클릭하면 확장, 축소가 나옵니다.

((( 이팁은 윈도우비스타 비지니스, 엔터프라이즈, 얼티밋 에만 적용됩니다. 홈프리미엄이나 베이직, 스타터에는 적용되지 않습니다.)

 

1. 시작-모든프로그램-실행 또는 윈도우키+R을 눌러서 실행창을 엽니다.

2. control userpasswords2 를 입력하고 엔터를 누릅니다.

3. 이어서 나타나는창에서 '고급'탭으로 이동한다음 '고급(V)'버튼을 누릅니다.

4. 왼쪽에있는 메뉴에서 '사용자' 를 클릭합니다.

5. 오른쪽창에서 Administrator 를 선택후 오른쪽클릭-속성, 계정 사용 안함(B)의 체크표시를 풀어줍니다. 그리고 확인을 누릅니다

6. Admin을 활성화시키기 전에 쓰던 계정을 오른쪽클릭-속성, 계정사용안함 에 체크하여 쓰지않는 계정을 없애줍니다.

7. 재부팅을 합니다.

8. Administrator로 로그인되며 UAC는 작동하지 않습니다.

1. 준비물

VSFilter - http://simpsons.vo.to 에 들어가셔서 보시면 '파코즈' 라는 폴더가 있습니다. 그 폴더안에 Vsfilter.zip 이란 파일을 다운받으시면 됩니다.

 2.따라해보기

 
1. 준비물 과정에서 알려드린 방법으로 vsfilter.zip 파일을 다운받으신다음 압축을 풀어주세요.

그리고나선 압축푸신 폴더안 Relese Unicode 폴더안에 VSFilter.dll 이 있나 확인합니다.

그 VSFilter.dll 파일을 C:\Windows\System32 에 넣어주세요.

시작 - 모든프로그램 - 보조프로그램 - 명령 프롬포트 , 또는 윈도우키 + R 으로 실행창을 엽니다.

그리고 regsvr32 VSFilter.dll 입력후 엔터.

정상적으로 등록됬음을 확인합니다.

이제 옵션을 건드릴 차례입니다.

다시 실행창을 여셔서 rundll32 VSFilter.dll,DirectVobSub 라고 입력합니다.

그리고나서 엔터를 눌러주세요.

다음과 같은 창이 뜹니다.

여기서 클릭이라 쓰여저 있는 부분을 클릭하세요.

또하나의 창이 뜹니다. 여기서 또 클릭이라 쓰여저있는 부분을 클릭하세요.

이곳에서 동영상 재생시 자막으로쓰일 글꼴과 글꼴 스타일, 크기등을 지정합니다.

그리고나서 확인을 눌러줍니다.

아까전창에서 맑은고딕 밑에있는 펼침상자를 눌러 HANGEUL (129), 또는 HANGUL (129) 를 선택해줍니다.

이과정을 하시지 않으시면 자막이 깨져서 나오는 문제가 생깁니다.

그리고나서 OK를 눌러주시고, 다시 나타나는 창에서도 확인을 눌러주세요.

그러면 설정이 완료되셨습니다.

미디어센터를 통해 동영상을 재생할시에 자막이 나옴을 확인할 수 있습니다.

 

 

미디어센터뿐만 아니라 윈도우 미디어플레이어에서도 적용 가능합니다.

1. Vista Clock for Windows Sidebar

1) Vista Clock

(1) 이 가젯에는 Vista 스타일의 여러 시계가 포함되어 있으며, 사용자는 초침을 사용할 수 있고, 옵션 대화 상자(가젯을 마우스 오른쪽 버튼으로 선택하여 옵션을 선택)에서 시계를 변경할 수 있습니다.

(2) 가젯을 바탕 화면으로 드래그하여 이를 바탕 화면 가젯(like AveDesk & Samurize)으로 사용할 수도 있습니다.

(3) 사용자가 사이드바를 마우스 오른쪽 버튼을 클릭 close를 선택하면, 사이드바는 작업 표시줄에 최소화되어 표시되지만 바탕 화면 가젯은 여전히 바탕 화면에 있게 됩니다.

2) Sidebar Patch

(1) 사용자는 Sidebar Patch로 가젯 위를 스쳐 지날 때 생기는 버튼(Close, Config & the Gripper)들을 제거할 수 있습니다.

(2) Sidebar.exe의 Patch 방법입니다.

(3) 다운로드한 파일을 임의의 디렉토리에 압축을 해제합니다.

(4) 검색 란(시작-돋보기)에 sidebar.exe를 타자후 엔터키를 눌러 검색 결과 화면의 sidebar.exe를 오른쪽 마우스 버튼으로 선택-Open file location을 선택하여 이 파일이 있는 폴더를 엽니다.

(5) 위 sidebar.exe의 실제 위치는 C:\program files\sidebar\sidebar.exe이며 이 파일을 복사하여 위 압축 파일을 해제한 디렉토리에 복사합니다.

(6) 압축 해제한 디렉토리의 Patch.bat나 PatchNA.bat를 실행합니다. 두 배치 파일의 차이점은 "Add Gadgets"의 백그라운드 회색 테두리를 제거하는 것은 동일하지만, Sidebar 제일 상단의 Add Gadgets의 그림 형태가 약간 다른 정도입니다.

(7) 이제 원본 sidebar.exe를 대체하기 위한 선행 작업으로 이 파일에 대한 소유권과 접근 권한(Ownership And Permission)을 조정하는 절차입니다.

(8) sidebar.exe를 오른쪽 마우스 버튼으로 선택-속성을 엽니다.

(9) Properties-Security tab-Advanced-Owner tab-Edit를 엽니다.

(10) 계정 이름 항목 중 사용자의 계정을 선택하거나 아니면 사용자가 Administrator로 로그인하였다면 Administrators group을 클릭한 후 Apply를 선택합니다.

(11) 다시 sidebar.exe의 Properties를 선택-Security tab-Edit를 선택합니다.

(12) 위 9)의 요령으로 Full Controll-Allow-Apply로 종료합니다.

(13) sidebar.exe를 리네임한 후 Batch 파일로 패치를 하여 준비한 sidebar.exe를 복사하여 붙혀 넣은 후 실행(더블클릭)하여 그 결과를 관찰합니다.

(14) 작업 중의 권한 설정 결과와 현재 Sidebar가 실행 중이면, 제대로 진행되지 않는 단계가 있으므로 이를 유의합니다

• Ahead Nero 6.6.1.4 (32-bit) (installs if you ignore Vista warnings but also causes Explorer crashes when viewing directories that have video files in them, as well as file copy/move operations - the Explorer crashes (COM Surrogate failures) can be corrected by making modifications to Nero specific merit values using DirectShow Filter Manager 0.5 (freeware) but the file copy/move operations cannot - surprisingly, a better solution is to install Nero inside a Windows XP virtual machine (ie. using VMWare Server) and let Nero burn discs from within the VM using the burner residing outside the VM in Vista - suprisingly, this works perfectly)
• UltraCopy 9.5 Premium Edition -- During the files are saving to system, an error message "FM20.dll, DllRegistryServer unsuccessfull, code 0x8002801C, accessing OLE registry" is received. Click "Ignore". The setup finishes and program works perfectly.

• Max Payne v1.00 (This game sometimes cannot work/start the first level/open main menu under Windows XP and Vista. When Max Payne is loaded, the game crashes with an program error before main menu/before starting first level. But, this problem can be solved. The intro movie file of Max Payne " intro.mpg " is broken. Rename a .mpg file as " intro ", then copy it and overwrite with normal " intro.mpg ".
• Myst I : The game runs, there are sound but you have only a black screen (on Windows XP either). You need to download and install Quick Time 6.5.2 (note : Quick Time 7 or Quick Time Alternative do not work)
• NCSoft City of Heroes - game installs and updates correctly under Vista X64 with nVidia v97.34 drivers, but no cursor is displayed with the mouse
• Sid Meier's Railroads! v1.1 - Game installs and runs but will frequently crash out to the desktop without warning. It is playable if you have patience with the crashes, and save often.
• Neverend - sound stops working after you fight in your first battle (you can still read the text version of all the conversations
• Oblivion - Installation is fine, game play is smooth, but has very frequent crashes if using "alt+tab" keystroke when you return back to the game.
• Syberia I & II DVD-ROM (edition collector) (32-bit). There are problems with starforce protection : Install the game as an administrator and contact support@starforce.com to get the DVD key (or use a no-dvd patch)
• Need for Speed: Carbon (With 98/ME Compatibility mode, must change compatibility for 2 files, NFSC.exe and Need for Speed Carbon_code.exe. Still crashes now and then for some people, EA yet to release a working patch for Vista, otherwise you can delete the MOVIES folder to run it without problems & without movies :D)
